LANDSTREAM Workshop

Olga Kisseleva is one of the most accomplished young artists of Parisian art-scene. Graduated from St. Petersburg University, she belongs to the first generation of Russian intelligentsia after Perestroika, which helped to bring down the Berlin Wall and cast aside the iron curtain. From the middle of the 90s Olga Kisseleva on the invitation of the Fulbright Foundation found a roof for her work in the research group which dealt with the development of digital technologies. In 1996 she is getting her PhD and she is invited to teach New Media and Contemporary Art in Sorbonne. In the same time she has been developing her artwork, in which is oscillates between truth and untruth and she is searching for improbable boundaries that separate both. In all of her projects the viewers very much take part, thereby the artists challenges the ability of media to create a new reality. Her exhibitions include: ARC(Paris), MoMA(St Etienne), Russian Museum (St. Petersburg), KIASMA (Helsinki), Pompidou Center (Paris), National Center for Contemporary Art (Moscow), Reina Sofia (Madrid), Machida Art Museum (Tokyo), Art Institute(Chicago), Venice, Istanbul, Dakar, Tirana and Moscow Biennials …
