Lee Montgomery is a radio producer, artist and educator based in the SanFrancisco Bay Area. Lee has a BA in Filmmaking from Bard College and an MFA in New Genres from the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) where he served as a student representative to the Board of Trustees. While completing his BA in filmmaking Lee found himself in the midst of the 1989 student uprising in Beijing. Footage that he shot at this time has been included in various documentaries and art installations including Shu Lea Cheang’s “Making News/ Making History”. In addition to his own web based artworks, Lee has worked as an assistant editor on national television commercials and documentaries out of New York and later as video game and web designer out of San Francisco.
