Germaine Koh is a Canadian visual artist of no fixed address, whose work is concerned with the significance of everyday actions, familiar objects and common places. Her 2005-06 exhibition schedule includes le Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal, De Appel (Amsterdam), BALTIC (Newcastle), Angel Row Gallery (Nottingham), Martin-Gropius-Bau (Berlin), Künstlerhaus Bethanien (Berlin), and ISEA 2006. Previously she has been included in international exhibitions such as the Liverpool Biennial, the Biennale of Sydney and La Biennale de Montréal. Other institutions that have featured her work recently include Para/Site Art Space (Hong Kong), the Frankfurter Kunstverein, Bloomberg SPACE, the Seoul Museum of Art, Artspace (Sydney), The British Museum, the Edmonton Art Gallery, The Power Plant (Toronto), Contemporary Art Gallery (Vancouver), Plug In ICA (Winnipeg), Ex Teresa Arte Actual (Mexico City), and the Art Gallery of Ontario (Toronto). Formerly Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art at the National Gallery of Canada, she is also an independent curator and partner in the independent record label weewerk.
