Sophea Lerner is an Australian sonic media artist working with sound and movement in public space, networked participatory audio performance and experimental open content radio broadcasting. Since 2002 she has worked in Finland, lecturing in Media & Sonic Arts at the Centre for Music & Technolgy, Sibelius Academy; last year she directed Particle/Wave workshop and festival of hybrid radio practice and Ääniradio open content FM radio station in Helsinki. In 2006 Sophea has given workshops in St. Petersburg, Russia with Pro Arte Institute and in New Delhi as part of Towards a Culture of Open Networks project at Sarai.
