A biodiesel bus journey through the techno-utopian beginnings and environmental currents

Free Soil is concerned with exploring the idealistic roots of high tech culture as well as the environmental effects of the computer industry on the local landscape. Speakers and stops along the way will include Silicon Valley Toxics Coaltion , SLAC: the Stanford Linear Accelerator centre and Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve to name a few. The bus will travel from San Jose to San Mateo. Get ready for small walks, mini-workshops and other particpitory events. The Tour lasts 8 hours and includes lunch, drink and snacks.
