Jessica Thompson’s studio practice consists of portable audio pieces that pieces that explore parallels between physical location, psychological space, game playing and public performance within the urban environment. She was born in 1975 in East York, Ontario and obtained a BFA in Visual Arts from York University in 1998. Her recent projects have been shown at the 2004 Psy-Geo-Conflux, (New York) GAME CITY, (FADO, Toronto), New Territories, (ARCO, Madrid) and Glowlab Open Lab. (Art Interactive, Cambridge) Her project, SOUNDBIKE (2005), was curated into Art Projects, Art Basel Miami Beach by Natalie Kovacs.
