Steve Bull is an artist working in new media for the last three decades. Cellphonia was awarded funding from the New York State Council for the Arts and ETC. His other media projects have been exhibited at The Getty, the Museum of Modern Art, American Film Institute, PBS, and Creative Time. Last year he was in residence at the Rockefeller Foundation’s Bellagio Center in Italy. He also directed a project for ITVS that is distributed by the MacArthur Foundation. On 01/01/01 he launched Cutlass, Inc. with a cellphone treasure hunt in Times Square and has since designed numerous award-winning locative games as well as museum tours and interactive cellphone art. At Interval Research he created numerous future media projects including an automatic movie-making machine. He has taught at NYU’s Interactive Communications Program, Parson’s, Fordham and is currently at Temple |
